I'm pleased to present our 2023/24 Resident Annual Report, which highlights a year of significant progress and change for English Rural.

This year we've taken significant steps to enhance our engagement with you, our residents. In preparation for the formal reporting of Tenant Satisfaction Measures, we commissioned an external survey of your views. While overall satisfaction levels exceeded average across other housing providers, we've identified areas for improvement, particularly in reactive repairs and ground maintenance.
Your feedback is shaping our future priorities and driving improvements in our services – we’re already making changes based on what you told us.
We know through working with you to develop our customer charter that building trust and keeping our service offer personal is important and we have worked hard to be more visible, through increased visits to your homes and developments. We continue to focus on expanding our property condition surveys and have proactively worked with residents to address cases of damp and mould, ensuring homes remain safe and well-maintained.
We are embedding sustainability and environmental responsibility across all our services, making homes more energy efficient and environmentally friendly for our residents.
As we move forward, we remain confident in our ability to provide, manage and advocate for affordable rural housing.
