The year ahead will be one of continued progress, partnership and investment. We’ll keep listening to residents, strengthening our services, and focusing on the things that make the greatest difference to people’s lives – safe homes, clear communication, and reliable support.
Our priorities for 2025/26 include improving the speed and quality of repairs, delivering further upgrades through our £2.6 million retrofit programme, and maintaining strong performance across safety and compliance. We’ll also continue expanding opportunities for residents to get involved – from online workshops and surveys to direct conversations with Board Members and staff.
We’re planning ahead to make sure English Rural remains resilient in a changing environment – managing resources carefully, exploring new partnerships, and investing in both existing homes and new developments. Every improvement we make is shaped by resident feedback and guided by our commitment to long-term sustainability.
Together, we’ll keep building on the progress made this year, ensuring our homes and communities remain places where people can feel safe, supported, and proud to belong.
Continue to improve the repairs process and keep you better informed at every step, with a focus on ‘first-time-fix’ and improved communication.
Sustain investment in safety, quality and energy efficiency, with targeted retrofit works under the Warm Homes programme.
Expand involvement, including more local and virtual options, and support the work of resident Board Members and the Scrutiny Panel.
Report transparently on performance and spending, with regular updates in plain English.
Strengthen data and compliance, completing more stock surveys and maintaining safety checks so you can have confidence in your home.
